DESCRIPTION:In rare diseases\, most of what we think we know about patients\, and how we act on it\, is really just assumptions: personas built from anecdotes\, strategies borrowed from mass-market playbooks\, and digital profiles. Bionews built a statistically validated model of gene therapy readiness\, derived from proprietary research conducted with and within our rare disease communities. The findings challenge how the industry defines\, segments\, understands\, and engages rare disease audiences. \nThis event pairs a brief presentation of the new research with a panel discussion on what happens when marketing is held to the standard of science: an understanding of patients grounded in who they actually are\, not in who we imagine them to be.
